Immerse yourself in metal clay jewellery making with a true master! This 1-day workshop is packed full of different techniques and features a night scene - starry sky with stylised clouds, moon and a bird sitting on a branch. Anna will show you her special techniques for creating wonderful textures, interesting shapes, and lots of handy tricks for working with very small and intricate forms in metal clay (pendants are around 2cm.) You will use fine silver clay to create several layered shapes (base of the pendant, moon, bird, stars, etc) and you'll learn interesting techniques for adding fine detail to your creations (swirly clouds, branches, etc.) You will leave with a fabulous pendant from your own personal design.
Included in the class:
  • 10gm Art Clay fine silver clay
  • Use of Art Clay Silver paste
  • Use of all tools needed
  • Learner's notes to take home
  • Coffee/tea and something sweet

Over just 1 day you will learn how to...
- work with tiny, hand crafted templates

- create various fine details using paste
- create detail and textures using a fine, pointed file
- how to handle tiny, super delicate elements without breaking them

Most importantly, we'll have lots of fun!

Who is Anna Mazoń?

anna-cover-handmade-business.jpgAnna is a jewellery designer from Kracow, Poland, who has really developed her own voice using metal clay. As well as being a inspiring designer and jewellery maker, she is also a thorough and excellent teacher who loves sharing her "secret" techniques and tips.

Anna is the April 2016 cover girl of Handmade Business. She's been either a finalist or winner in the prestigious Saul Bell Awards in the Metal Clay Category in 2015, 2014 and 2013.

"Designing beautiful objects is not my only passion. I also love teaching. There is a spark of artistic potential within each of us, which is worth discovering and developing. Creating handmade jewelry allows us to embellish ourselves not only on the outside, but as well on the inside. It allows our creativity to flourish and helps us to develop an ability to transform dreams into hard matter. It's also an opportunity to get away from busy everyday life and enter the realm of imagination, taking real, handmade treasures on the way back." - Anna Mazon
