This Art Clay Silver low-fire clay can be fired with glass, some stones and sterling silver. You can fire it with a torch, on a gas stove, or in a kiln. Simply shape your piece, leave it to dry, and fire it - and you're left with a pure fine silver piece. The clay can be hallmarked as fine silver at any UK Assay Office.
The 50gm package contains 2 individually wrapped 25gm blocks of clay.

After using various types of Silver Clay I find this type easier to work with.

I have tried various types of Art Clay Silver and PMC but this is the one I choose to order on a regular basis (and this pack size is usually the best value for the quantities I order in).
Straight out of the packet it's slightly stickier than PMC (a little too sticky for texture plates) and I tend to mix it in with already-open clay or leave it for a few minutes before I start working it.
The clay doesn't dry too fast whilst it's being worked (though I work in quite a cool environment and find that temperature does have an effect) and I actually found that this product stayed workable longer than some of the 'slow drying' ones I have used.
