Handy to direct enamel powder where you want it.
Turn your Efcolor bottle into a sifter!
This is a sieve top which fits on top of your 10ml Efcolor enamel pots to turn then into shakers making application easy. Using sifters to apply enamel gives you a nice an even application.
Simply pop on top of your Efcolor bottle and it helps to sift out the powder nice and evenly.
Does what it says it does.
These sieves are a must they make applying the powder so much easier
I ordered several of these and almost all are fine but a couple have sieve sections that are too small and fall down inside the tubes. Bit messy to get them out. **RESPONSE FROM METAL CLAY** We're sorry to hear you're experiencing a problem with the sieve tops, this is not something that should be happening. Please get in contact by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can look into sending you a replacement. The Metal Clay Team
I bought these sieve's after thinking I wont need them but believe me you do, they make adding the Efcolour so much easier to do. My first attempt worked perfectly and I now have the enamelling bug.
I wasn't sure I needed these as gently tapping the container deposited the powder fairly evenly, but once I wanted to cover larger areas, I thought I'd try them. Initially, they didn't seem to make much difference, until I watched a video in French on the product web site and the lady showed how to use them properly. With the mesh lid in place in the tube, she upended the container vertically over a clean piece of paper and let a dollop of powder fall out. Once the mesh is full, the flow actually stops and you can then gently tap the base of the container to release a gentle even mist of the powder over your work. When used like this, they really do help even out the coverage, although some colours do seem to come out more smoothly than others. You can then tip the initial dollop of powder back into the tube through the mesh. It's a shame that the EFCOLOR powders don't come in a better designed container in the first place, with a mesh already installed (and possibly removable) and a screw top lid that will close off the powder for storage. I've cracked 2 tubes pressing these mesh lids into place and some of them have very messy plastic around the rim that needs cleaning off before use too - hence a lost star.
You need one of each colour so as not to contaminate the colours.
A must have product , cost pennies and saves so much waste. Easy to use.
they help give a nice even coat and save a lot of over spill worth buying a few packs in fact one for every colour also save empty containers to fill with mixed enamel powder would suggest you get a old make up brush to brush powder back into containers
You definitely need these to use the powder.
