Gloss Varnish for Resin - 110ml.

This is a great glossy varnish to add to your cured resin pieces. You simply just brush it onto your piece. Its really nice and runny, so it goes on very well and doesn't leave sticky brush strokes on your piece. It kind of self levels itself, so it has a gorgeous smooth finish. The first coat is not super glossy, but adds a nice shine to your piece. You can keep adding layers though until you get the shine you want. It only takes about 2 hours to dry, so doesn't even take that long. I tried it on top of a piece that I had gild waxed, and this was fine too. Please note though: IT DOES NOT WORK ON POLYMER CLAY!!!

Why would I use this?

When you use most resins in a casting capacity, if your mould is a smooth shape, such as a dome/cabachon, then the resin usually comes out gorgeous and glossy. If you use an un-smooth mould, like a shell or textured object, then the surface tends to loose its shine, as the light doesn't hit it as well. This is when I would use this varnish, to bring that shine back. Also sometimes if you use opaque colours (so un-transparent), again your piece can look a little less glossy, this again is the perfect opportunity for this.
