I got these thinking they might help me sort out some of the pits I often get in bronze rings - I think it's the carbon that does it. I was a bit disappointed with jool tools on this occasion. These little wheels are not exactly cheap but they haven't centered the hole properly so that they wobble around when the dremel is on - Makes it rather hard to use them with any sort of precision.
These are mini drum versions of the “Scratch Eraser” disc, designed to be mounted on a shank and used with your handpiece and flexshaft, Dremel or Proxxon type tool. Also known as the 3M™ Scotch-Brite EXL Unitised – FINE.
The drum burnishes any metal and gives it a pre-polished look. It is fabulous for removing scratches and marks, and removing sharp edges. Follow up with a felt wheel disc for seamless scratch repairs on jewellery.
If you are using this on silver clay (fired), you need to use a very light touch, as it is quite a strong abrasive.
These drums needs to be mounted on a 1/8" mandrel (not included).
Each drum is approximately 1cm in diameter.

Jewellery applications: It’s excellent for “wiping off” or “blending in” scratches and scuff marks on precious metals. It is also great for removing porosity & parting lines in jewellery castings. It does not remove your precious material. Instead, it burnishes and spreads it along the surface. Simply follow up with the felt wheel for a finished, polished look.
Automotive and Woodworking applications: This abrasive is ideal for de-burring and polishing any metal alloy as well as many plastics and composites. Perfect for smoothing the heel of turning tools (to avoid bruising the wood during turning). It’s made of aluminium oxide impregnated in a non-woven web, which resists loading and has an extremely long life. It also resists smearing and minimises heat buildup on the work piece.
