I tried this out on a freshly soldered bezel and it did a very good job of cleaning the piece up and producing a burnished finish. Being able to see the work through the eraser on the Jool Tool makes it very easy and precise to use
This lovely abrasive disc for the JoolTool is also known as the 3M™ Scotch-Brite EXL Unitised. It is one of Anie’s favorite abrasives.
This very fine grade scratch eraser disc is great for erasing scratches and scuff marks, and achieving smooth finishes on raw castings or metal clay, plastics, composites, and acrylics.
Its web-like structure blends the metal and remove scratches from both precious and non-precious metals. In just 2 steps you can clean up a raw casting and then finish with our felt disc and compound to a high mirror polish. Great for cleaning up after soldering.
It does not grind away material; instead, it burnishes and spreads it along the surface. Simply follow up with the felt wheel for a finished, polished look. The disc is made for de-burring, blending and finishing.
3" disc. Note: you need to mount this abrasive onto a backpad before use.
WHAT ELSE CAN IT BE USED FOR?
Automotive and Woodworking applications: This abrasive is ideal for deburring and polishing any metal alloy as well as many plastics, composites and wood. Perfect for smoothing the heel of turning tools (to avoid bruising the wood during turning). It’s made of aluminum oxide impregnated in a non-woven web, which resists loading and has an extremely long life. It also resists smearing and minimizes heat buildup on the work piece.
