While this e-guide contains quite a few tips and tricks that will definitely make live easier for anyone wanting us use Art Clay, or Precious Metal Clay with the Silhouette I am disappointed. The only Silhouette Settings mentioned is the thickness setting, which is explained very neatly, but unfortunately that is not the only setting Silhouette user run into. This, very incomplete guide was to me, not worth the almost €15,- I spent on it. I have contacted the author via facebook, but a reply sofar has not been made. **RESPONSE FROM METAL CLAY** Hi Gwenddydd, We're sorry to hear you're not completely happy with the guide. This e-book was designed as a basic guide to using metal clay in the Silhouette Machine. It isn't an introduction to how to work with metal clay, nor how to use the Silhouette. It assumes you have basic knowledge of how to work with both already, and is designed to give a basic overview of the methods Wanaree uses to cut clay with the Silhouette. It tells you how to prepare the clay for cutting, how to get it through the machine, which setting to use for different thicknesses of clay, how to calibrate the machine for different thicknesses, and how to scale for shrinkage. We will have a look at the product description and adjust it to make this clearer.

Description from the author:
"The first time I ran a sheet of metal clay through the Silhouette Cameo®, it became apparent that this was an exciting new frontier, not only for the metal clay medium, but for metal work as a whole. This machine is an affordable, automated cutting tool, that lets you design, calibrate, and cut to your speci!cations. Combined with the malleability of metal clay the possibilities are boundless. In my own studio, I’ve focused primarily on how this amazing tool can cut ornate metal clay bezel settings made to !t a precut stone. This is just the tip of the iceberg and I can’t wait to see the evolution of this technique in the hands of other artists. To me, art is as much about exploration and experimentation as it is about creation. The techniques in this book are the foundation, the basic skills, which I leave you to build upon. Thanks for joining me on this journey. This guide is designed to give you a basic overview of the methods I use to cut clay with the Silhouette Cameo. For drying clay I use a dehydrator but only brie!y. Leaving your clay in the dehydrator too long and it will lose it’s flexibility. If unsure, simply stick to air drying. Please read the instructions carefully and make any appropriate adjustments if you use a different method of drying to ensure you work in a safe environment."

This guide left me still wanting. Although it addressed the preparation of metal clay it did not give me the setting information for silhouette that I thought would be included.
Very well done and follow you step by step. J'adore!
