Product Description

This crystal clear, very hard, two-component epoxy resin system is a more economical product for larger castings. The Pebeo Crystal Resin (sometimes called Gedeo Crystal Resin) cures perfectly clear and very hard. It can be used for mouldings, inlays, coatings or laminates. Can be coloured with glass colours - completely or surface only. Mix with colourants or Pearl-ex Pigments to add beautiful colours. Ideal for embedding dried flowers, shells, glitter etc. Perfect for small jewellery items such as brooches, earrings etc, as well as larger deeper castings. Can be de-moulded after 12 hours, full cure within 24 hours. Can be coloured with any of the UV colours we sell or other dyes, like PearlEx, crushed eyeshadows, and oil paints, also give interesting effects.

Drying time

Lovely to work with and results are great however found it takes longer then 24 hours to be fully dry so patience is required
Make sure you measure correctly

I was in a hurry to complete an item of jewellery which required a bezel set piece but because it was such a small amount I needed I mixed up a very small part. I left the product 36 hours but it still didn't set. I guess you have to use more than a teaspoon for it to work. Fortunately I also purchased Liza Pavelka resin which I was able to use instead and thankfully it was a sunny day so it set!
Easy to use, really crystal like.

This resin was quite easy to work with and easy to use for newbies like me.

The hardener seems to me a bit too runny, so you have to be careful when measuring (maybe a syringe would be useful). But then it mixes quite well with the resin part.

My result was really crystal like and there weren't too many bubbles, which is highly appreciated. I embebed some natural sea tumbled glass peebles on this product and the resin seemed to absorb and dissolve them, but this might be just due to the glass components. Trial and error is always part of handmade, so no complains.

I was pleased with how easy this resin was to use, despite the instructions not really explaining what a "part" was with regards to the measuring pots. The end result was pleasing and fairly clear so I will have fun experimenting with more designs in future. I would recommend buying a file as the edges can get quite rough.
