With this you are able to make a piece with make inter-changable items, such as a ring band with different charms.
- Drill a 1.6mm hole after firing (or a 2mm hole before firing if using silver clay shringking 8-10%) in your base piece (for example your ring band).
- Set your thread chaser into the thread chaser vice.
- Once fired, use the thread chaser in the hole you drilled into the silver, to create a thread for your charms to screw into.
- Screw in your inter-changable charms.
You simply insert the fireable silver screw into your un-fired charms, you can just push it into your soft clay and secure with paste, and fire all together. You can also add the screw to an already fired piece, using paste and refiring.
