Alumilite Clear is a crystal clear resin that is easy to use and great for a wide variety of clear casting applications. It is a favourite with woodturners!

Alumilite Clear produces an extra strong, crystal clear casting which polishes to a high shine beautifully. It can be dyed or pigmented and produces an optically clear casting. This resin has excellent cosmetic detail and is easy to use. It is highly recommended for encapsulating and turning applications as it is extremely strong and durable, and it turns beautifully without chipping or cracking. Turned blanks can be easily polished to a high gloss. It has a 7 min open time. Can be sanded, wet sanded, and/or buffed.

Alumilite Clear must be mixed 1:1 by weight. Off-ratio mixing may produce hazy or frosted parts. B side may thicken and need to be warmed before use.

Recommended for experienced resin users. Pressure casting is required.

Don't use water based dyes or colours with this resin. Our Alumilite Dyes are ideal (which come in a huge range of colours including fluorescent neon colours!), as well as any dry colours, like Pearl Ex.

For high quality metal effects, use the Alumilite Metal Powders, which comes in most metals you might want like; pearlescent, bronze, gold, copper and silver. For a glow in the dark effect, use the Phosphorescent Powder!

Work perfect every time

Been using this product for the last 3 years for a number of project including making hybrid (Wood/Resin) turning items and also jewellery pieces. As long as you follow the instruction this product will NEVER let you down, demould in less than 1 hour. I would recommend using either pressure pot or degassing equipment for the best result but you just can't fault the product.

Great product, casts, turn and polished beautifully. Takes longer to de-mould than 45 minutes but that suits me so not a problem (probably something to do with tempriture)

Nice clear resin, easily worked with woodturning tools - especially negative rakes. Nowhere near as chippy as polyester. You really do need a pressure pot to suppress bubbles and keep everything as moisture-free as possible (including any mould release!). The additional effort is well worthwhile. The longer pot-life resin would be useful to have available.
