You don't want to take the frit up to near its melting temperature, as it's fine silver. We would use a little paste, or squished up clay, to help the frit grip and bond with the clay. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThink of it like when you are attaching two pieces of silver clay together, you wouldn't just put them on top of each other; you would add a little paste between them to help them bond - or you would wet the surfaces where the two pieces touch (so you have wet clay touching wet clay), and then press them together.
