Then lower the heat to maintain a gental simmer.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eLeave the pieces in the solution until the oxidiztion has gone and the metal has returned to its natural colour.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIt is a good idea to neutralise your metal clay after pickling, this can be done by first rinsing your piece, then putting it in a mix of hot water and bicarbonate of soda.
