If you are doing this, we advise you use Art Clay rolled out to a minimum of 0.75mm thick for your first layer, and be careful to not stretch or pull the silver as uyou apply it to the ring liner. If you go too thin on your first layer, you may get cracks as the metal clay shrinks around the liner during firing.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAnother option would be to fire your silver clay embellishments first, and then attach them to your ring liner after firing, either by soldering or using Overlay Paste.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eArt Clay Overlay Paste or the new formula Art Clay Paste are both great for making sure your silver clay bonds to this fine silver base.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe liner itself measures approximately 6cm long, 4mm width and 1.5mm thick.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTo shape the strip, simply bend around your ring mandrel.
