Rubber work sheet - carve your own texture sheets and build syringe designs!

Use both sides of this mat - one side for textures, and the other for 3D building of clay designs or syringe work. Carve into this double-sided rubber sheet with linoleum carving tools or a craft knife to make your own unique texture sheets. Our V-Shape Carving Tool works perfectly for this, so do all the Dockyard micro carving tools. If you prefer to carve into a very soft surface, you can warm the mat gently with a hair dryer to soften it up.

The Rubber Work Sheet is also a great work surface! The surface gently holds clay or syringe work unil it is dry, giving you support for your work.

You can draw on it with a pencil (which you can rub out and wash off - ready to use again) and use as a secure base surface for syringe work. The syringe will stay put on the sheet until it is completely dry. Draw out your design and build your syringe layers straight on to the mat. You can dry your work with a hair dryer, or put the mat straight into a dehydrator, or on top of a warming plate (please note it will soften when warm so pick up carefully so it doesn't flop, and you drop your work).
