Safety Pickle, remove oxidisation from firing with this pickling compound!

Safety pickling compound is used to remove oxidation on metals; like the black surface you might see on your copper clay after firing, or on your sterling silver after soldering.

To use:
Add roughly 10g of safety pickling compound with 40ml of hot water (about 50°C) in a heatproof container, and stir until the crystals are dissolved. Then immerse your cooled metal piece in the pickling solution for around 5-10 minutes until the oxidation is gone, and remove with tweezers. It is a good idea to neutralise your metal clay after pickling, this can be done by first rinsing your piece, then putting it into a mix of hot water and bicarbonate of soda. Leave for a few minutes and rinse.

This pickle can be used with non-ferrous metals like platinum, gold, silver, copper and brass.
