Better Bond is a metal clay glue with an epoxy like bond, it can be used with silver and base metal clay.

This glue has been created by Karen Rumple of Grace and Peace Jewelry Designs. It can be used with metal clay that is wet to wet, wet to dry, dry to dry, dry to fired and fired to fired. The solution can also be used to make your own paste, set CZ stones, repairing breakages and adding decoration or attachments to your designs. 

Better Bond has been tested and works great with:

How to use:
You have the option of using the dropper nozzle or precision tip. To use the precision tip, remove the
dropper nozzle and white band. Place the rubber circle stopper (from precision tip) below where the precision cap will rest and then screw the precision tip onto the bottle.

Wet to wet: 

• Put a tiny drop on your piece, then attach the second piece. Be quick, as it bonds quickly. 
• Apply some pressure for a few seconds to ensure a strong connection. 

Wet to wet - fixing a breakage:

• Put a tiny drop on your piece, then attach the second piece. Be quick, as it bonds quickly. Use the precision tip for small joins.
• Apply some pressure for a few seconds to ensure a strong connection. 
• Blend in the seam with a clay sculpting tool and smooth out any excess clay.

Greenware to fired or fired to fired:

• Add a small amount of better bond to your piece, add a little ball of clay and squish it down. Position your piece onto the other and be quick as it bonds quickly.
• Apply some pressure for a few seconds to ensure a strong connection. You can also wiggle it back and forth to make sure it has a good bond. 

Setting a CZ stone with wet clay:

• Create your setting for your stone with the correct size burr. 
• Take a tiny amount of better bond and put it in the hole. Be careful not to damage the setting. 
• Drop the gemstone in the hole and user a burnisher to position the stone correctly. Press with little force to make sure the stone is secure.
• Fire the piece at the recommended temperature for your stone and clay.
