The chain nose (also called snipe nose, long nose pliers, long chain nose pliers and sometimes needle nose pliers) pliers are one of the most versatile tools you can get for beaders, wire jewellery makers, and general jewellery makers.

The chainnose has flat, but pointed jaws, which allows you to use it in tight spaces. Use it to make straight angles, open and close jump rings, crimping, and to hold wires and strips flat whilst being shaped. Should be part of your basic pliers kit. If you make wire jewellery, these are a must (try wrapping a briolette without these!).
