Ceramic fibre brick for torch firing, a must-have for every jewellers' workbench!

Place your metal clay pieces on this thick heatproof firing block when firing with a torch. The soft ceramic fibre brick will protect your work surface from the heat. Being soft ceramic fibre you can impress, carve, or drill, holes or indents for supporting your pieces, holding wires, and more. This is also a great surface to keep next to your kiln, to set your hot kiln shelf or tongs on. This can also be used for traditional silversmithing and other firing uses!

TOP TIP: To make your own perfectly shaped silver balls to use for decoration and granulation work; use a ball burnisher to gently indent the brick (make lots of indentations right next to each other), snip fine silver wire into 0.5-1mm length, place one snippet in each indent, and heat with a torch until they melt!
