Set of 6 Pebeo Vitrea water based paints, perfect for adding colour to your silver jewellery!

Create fabulous transparent enamel effects on your fired silver clay or sterling silver - with no hassle! Vitrea 160 water based paints were designed to use on glass (which they work beautifully with) but luckily a few years ago someone came up with the idea of trying it on silver clay... It was amazing! You get a lovely transparent enamel effect, with no need for a torch, kiln or other high heat. All you need is a kitchen oven!

To use on silver:

1. Paint on the fired, polished and cleaned silver.
2. Dry for 24 hours.
3. Bake in a kitchen oven at 160C for 40 minutes. 

You can mix the colours. You can paint on two layers for a deeper colour. If you make a mistake, simply wash it off with water and start again (before curing of course!).

You'll achieve deep lush colours, I think it must be the absolutely easiest way of adding colour to silver. It is extremely hard wearing too, and very easy to patch up if you ever need to. I decorated a ring with Pebeo Vitrea in 2006 - it still looks great. Don't forget to give it a go on glass too!
