This set is the perfect accessory for any jeweller who uses a tumbler to polish up their jewels. Avoid sorting through mismatched pairs and searching for small pieces in a strainer basket or sink. They're also a great tool for students attending workshops, making it easy to identify your own work (or a great addition for tutors to also offer students)!
Made of Delrin, they are durable, strong and slightly flexible. The frames are resistant to abrasion, water, and chemicals. They won’t damage or scratch your work, and require only a simple rinse after use. Compatible with all types of tumbling media, they are also safe to use in pickle solutions.
This set includes:
- 1 engraved Ring Wheel - marked with ring sizes 5-10 for keeping rings and other bands organised by size, style or order
- 1 small components-style Tumble wheel
- 1 large components-style Tumble wheel
- 20 reusable brass pins (safe to use in pickle pot)
- 20 nylon adjustable cable ties
How to use:
Hook earrings can be attached by threading the wires through the frames and pinching slightly to close and secure. Stud earrings can be affixed securely with the earring backs. Your earrings must be able to twist and slide freely within the wheels to ensure the tumbling media reaches all areas of your metal. You may like to finish with a small amount of hand finishing underneath where the backs were attached.
We recommend using the brass pins to attach rings by size (see images for examples).
The pins and ties may also be used for attaching small components such as earring backs, charms, clasps and more to tumble wheels.
PLEASE NOTE: The frame set is not included. It is common for the brass pins may darken over time, this will not affect the use.
