Each cufflink consists of:

• 925 Sterling Silver Swivel Bar Fitting – attached after firing to complete the cufflink

Because the base mount is made from fine silver, it can be safely fired in place with your usual silver clay firing schedule.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Embed the Base
   Press the .999 fine silver mount into your wet clay until the flat base sits flush with the clay surface and the tabs are fully embedded. This ensures a strong mechanical bond.
2. Refine the Surface
   Using a clay shaper and a small amount of metal clay, fill and smooth any gaps created by the tabs.
3. Fire as Normal
   Fire the piece according to your usual metal clay firing schedule.
4. Finish Your Piece
   Polish and complete your fired design as desired.
5. Attach the Swivel Fitting
   Insert and align the sterling silver swivel bar fitting into the opening of the fired base mount.
6. Secure in Place
   Using parallel action pliers (recommended), gently squeeze the sides of the base mount to lock the swivel fitting securely into position.
