Dear Metal Clay Family,
As you know, after more than 20 wonderful, creative, and unforgettable years of Metal Clay Ltd, Stuart and I have made the decision to retire. You might recall we’ve mentioned warm conversations behind the scenes.
We’re thrilled to confirm that we’re in the final stages of discussions with someone to take over the Art Clay distributorship as well as the metalclay.co.uk website and many of our core specialist metal clay ranges.
While we have to keep the specific details under wraps just a little bit longer, we want you to know that;
- Art Clay Silver is going nowhere. It will stay right here, on this site.
- Yes, Metalclay.co.uk will continue! The website is not closing, it is staying right here - and hopefully most of our core metal-clay-focused ranges will do the same. As soon as we can, we will confirm which ranges are staying.
- Our social media accounts will also continue, so make sure you follow Metal Clay UK on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok for exciting updates.
- The Art Clay Diploma certification program will continue. Submit as normal to us as long as it arrives before the 9th July. We’ll update you with new submission details as soon as we can.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU?
Our website will remain fully active until 1pm 9th July (we’ve extended the date). During the next few weeks you can grab some absolute never-seen-before bargains with items added daily. We’re clearing out products we've overstocked on, ranges that are moving off the website, and some of our older products. Whilst grabbing amazing deals, you’re also helping us tidy up our warehouse stock, getting it ready to be shipped to its new home! So - last chance to order from the site (as it is) will be 12.59pm on the 9th July.
On 1pm on 9th July, the website will pause briefly for a little tidy up and whilst stock and tech moves to its new home. The new team will then welcome you to the new home of Metal Clay UK as soon as possible.
WHO IS TAKING OVER?
Finding the right fit to take over our life's work was incredibly important to us. We worried that Art Clay could become just a “product” sitting on a shelf. In our dreams we were hoping to find someone with the same drive and genuine care for metal clay as us. We hoped to pass on the torch with all the fun, the craziness, and fabulous people that come with it, to someone who would see just how special it is.
We are overjoyed that the person we're in conversation with is passionate about the metal clay community. They’re ready to step in with the renewed, younger energy that means the brand will thrive for its next 20 years.

We also want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the overwhelming influx of love, kind words, and support you have sent us and the team over the last month. We are so happy that our retirement doesn't mean saying goodbye to the community we adore, but instead what feels like an exciting new beginning (I am filling my home studio as we speak, as I hope to go back to what started it all - the making).
