You can pay for your order with debit or credit card, bank transfer, Klarna, or PayPal. Orders paid for with bank transfer will be sent when the full and complete payment is in our account. 

All our prices are in UK sterling pounds. All prices include VAT, books and magazines are zero-rated. 

Secure website ordering

To order, click the 'Add to cart' text next to the item if you are on the products own page. If you're seeing the list view (where all the products in a category are in one long list) fill in the qty of each product and then click 'Add to cart' which you'll find at the top and bottom of the list.

Your recently added items will show up in the mini-shopping cart 'Your Shopping Cart' at the top right hand corner on each page. You can check what is in your shopping cart at any time by choosing 'View Cart' link underneath your mini-shopping cart.

To remove an item, go to 'View Cart', and click the 'Remove' ink underneath the quantity.

To buy more or less of an item, change the quantity to what you like and press the 'Update Quantity' button at the bottom left of the page. 

When you are on viewing your shopping basket, you can choose to continue shopping or go to the secure payments pages. When you have finished your order, press the 'Proceed to Checkout' button on the shopping basket page.


Payments are made via Stripe, Klarna, or PayPal. You can pay through PayPal even if you don’t have a PayPal account by simply clicking on the “Don't have a PayPal account? Pay with your debit or credit card as a PayPal guest” when you reach the PayPal confirmation page.
Card payments processed by Stripe Payment Processing Services for Metal Clay Ltd,, are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the 'Stripe Services Agreement'). By agreeing to these terms or continuing to operate as a customer on, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same may be modified by Stripe from time to time. As a condition of enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide accurate and complete information about you and your business, and you authorise to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe.

Sage Pay (now Opayo) provides a secure payment gateway (Level 1 PCI DSS), processing payments for thousands of online businesses, including ours. It is Sage Pay’s utmost priority to ensure that transaction data is handled in a safe and secure way. Sage Pay uses a range secure methods such as fraud screening, I.P address blocking and 3D secure. Once on the Sage Pay systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards. Sage Pay is PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant to the highest level and maintains regular security audits. They are also regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure that their systems are impenetrable. Sage Pay is an active member of the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) that defines card industry global regulation.

In addition, you know that your session is in a secure encrypted environment when you see https:// in the web address, and/or when you see the locked padlock symbol alongside the URL. So when buying through our site, you can be sure that you are completely protected.



After you have placed your order, you will receive an automated confirmation by email almost immediately - this confirms that our system has received your order. Please check this and make sure all the details are correct, especially your delivery address and contact number. If anything needs changing, please get in touch straight away. Keep a copy for your records.

Please note that this is not a confirmation of your space if you're signing up for a course. You'll receive a confirmation in the post. We try to keep the web site updated, but sometimes courses get fully booked very quickly and we might not be able to change the site immediately. 

Ordering by phone
You can also call us with your order. We're usually available 8:30am-4:30pm Monday to Friday, unless we're all busy packing orders (or are having some time off for a weekend or bank holiday) in which case the answer machine will be on. Leave a message with your name and number and someone will call you back as soon as we can

As long as everything is in stock, your order is guaranteed to be despatched within 7 working days of ordering, but 99.9% of all orders received by 1pm are actually sent the same day. If your order is urgent or you need a specific delivery date, please call us and we'll do our best to help. 

We will try to deliver the goods to you within the time estimated for delivery. If we are unable to do so, we reserve the right to deliver them within 30 days beginning with the day after the day of the agreement between us. If we are unable to deliver the goods to you within 30 days beginning with the day after the day of the agreement: 
1. we shall inform you by e-mail ; 2. we shall make a further offer to you by e-mail to sell you the goods of the specification and description at the price stated in the e-mail and will state the period for which the offer or the price remains valid ; 3. unless you accept the offer we will reimburse any sum paid by you or on your behalf under or in relation to the agreement within a period of 30 days beginning with the day after the day on which the time for delivery expired. 

If anything you've ordered is out of stock we'll let you know. 

PLEASE NOTE - If an order is not called for when delivery has been attempted, or an incorrect or incomplete delivery address is given at the time of order, resulting in failed delivery, redelivery can be arranged once the parcel has been returned to us (subject to a redelivery cost) - or a refund can be issued less delivery costs already paid by Metal Clay Ltd, and you may be subject to a 5% handling charge. PLEASE CHECK THE DETAILS YOU GIVE US CAREFULLY. 

Returns and Cancellations

In accordance with UK law, consumers have a 14 day 'cooling off period' from the day they receive the goods, in which they have the right to cancel their purchase and receive a full refund. Consumers do not need to give a reason for cancelling their purchase. We are obliged to refund payments to consumers in full within 30 days of the order being cancelled. If you wish to cancel, please log in to your account and submit a return request. We can only refund or exchange goods which are unused and unopened, and returned in a as-new condition.

You are required to return the goods safely to us, and you are responsible for the cost in doing so.

Should you cancel your purchase within this 14 day 'cooling off' period, we will refund your payment in full, minus any shipping charges paid. If you paid by credit or debit card from this website, your refund will be made directly to your credit or debit card within 30 days of your cancellation. There will be no charges for cancellation within this 14 day cooling off period. 

NOTE: We can't accept liability for goods lost or damaged during transit. Please ensure you pack any items carefully and protected so they don't get damaged in the post. You are also advised to return goods by recorded delivery, registered post, or by courier, as we will not be responsible for lost parcels. Proof of postage will not be accepted as proof of delivery. Please remember to include your name and address, and a copy of your purchase receipt. 

Our return and refund policy is in accordance with The Consumer Rights Directive for UK retailers which was instated in June 2014 and the EU Distance Selling Directive which came into force in October 2000 and is part of UK law under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000. This law applies to all business to consumer transactions within the UK where a consumer does not meet the vendor. Contracts between businesses are not governed by these regulations. 

You can choose to have a refund, a replacement, or a store credit if you think you'll soon be ordering again. *If you choose to receive a store credit please note that this will be valid for 6 months from the date of credit note.*

Our terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. 

Cancellation Policy 
If for reasons beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to an inability or failure on the part of the manufacturers or suppliers of the goods to supply the goods to us, we are unable to supply the goods to you, we may cancel the agreement at any time before the goods are delivered by giving notice to you. We shall promptly repay to you any sums paid by you or on your behalf under or in relation the agreement. We shall not be liable for any other loss or damage whatever arising from such cancellation. 

Privacy Policy 
Metal Clay Ltd respect your privacy. None of the information we collect is passed on to any other parties, except when required as part of the business services we provide for you, or as required under UK law. If you order from us, we may use your email address to contact you about special offers, as per UK law, but you may unsubscribe from these emails and we will not contact you again. We never share your email with other companies. 

Metal Clay Ltd will only collect details about you when you place an order. These will include your name and address, your email address, and various other details necessary to complete a transaction and fulfill your order. We do not collect any information which may be deemed "sensitive personal data" under the Data Protection Act 1998. 

The provider is not liable for any use of the web site or reliance on the content, except where the site owner is negligent. The provider is not liable if the web site is unavailable for any reason.
