This plastic moulded handle covering the stainless steel scalpel is sturdy and comfortable to hold. Use with Swann Morton blades for fine angle cuts, carving, etching, piercing, scoring, scarping, scribing and trimming.

Comfort handle
I use a scalpel quite a lot as a Ceramics Conservator and Restorer and find the standard handle at times quite uncomfortable. This ergonomic handle is much nicer to use and I’m hoping will prevent any straining or discomfort that would occur with the standard metal handle. Great value and fast delivery, highly recommended.

good price.good for fine detail wood carving.. Would be even better if blade was set closer to edge of handle. but still good.
