The 63″ long Square Drive Industrial flexshaft and heavy duty protective sheath is the ideal choice for grinding, deburring, carving, sanding, cleaning, buffing, and polishing on virtually every type of material. Square drive flex shafts can handle more challenging deburring, buffing, grinding, polishing and metal finishing of any kind with larger rotary accessories. They are great for large scale woodcarving and sculpting applications with carbide or steel burs and larger mounted grinding stones.
This is Foredom's most popular motor, teamed up with longer square drive flex shaft (designed and a heavy duty cast iron foot operated speed control. 230 V version with a three pin fused UK plug.
Why is the label red rather than blue - is this a fake?!
No, the label is red to show it is a UK 230 voltage motor, rather than a US voltage.
Any Foredom hanging motor you buy in Europe SHOULD have a red label. If it is blue it is designed for 110V.
The H.44TH is a square tip compatible handpiece. This collet style handpiece is popular among woodcarvers as it accommodates larger accessories with shank diameters up to 1/4″. It comes with 3/32″, 1/8″ and 1/4″ collets. The tapered design allows for close and safe work.

- 63" Square Drive Industrial flexshaft. Square Drive shafting is stronger so designed for heavy-duty and industrial work - it is a little stiffer than the keytip version. It works with the four square drive style handpieces.
- C.SCT Speed Control: durable electronics and smooth control in a heavy cast iron housing. The added weight eliminates any unexpected movement of the control along the floor and the bottom surface of the speed control is covered with non-skid material. CSA listed.

Motor Description:
Foredom's 1/6 HP, universal, flexible shaft machine runs in forward and reverse rotation at speeds up to 18,000 RPM. The M.SR combines the most important features you would expect from a Foredom - power, reversibility, reliability, and versatility - all in one motor. It comes equipped with a motor bale for hanging.
Flexshaft description:
63" long square drive shafting for connecting to any of Foredom's square drive handpieces; the H.25H, H.30H, H.44HT and new H.28H (the square drive handpieces all have an H after the model number). All flexshafts are interchangeable, so this can be swapped for a keytip flexshaft in the future.

This kit comes with a UK 3-pin plug.
Additional Motor Details:
The 1/6 HP, ball bearing series SR has 33% more power than the older 1/8 hp motors, and 66% more than the original 1/10 hp models. The added power helps to reduce stalling or slowing down under normal workloads.

Foredom Industrial Kit
Always wanted this machine and made the plunge and don’t it. Impressions are great with lot of power and torque. It runs very quiet wasn’t expecting this. The square drive is great and at no point did it ever feel bogged down. The only issues i have and its a personal one i get cramps in my hand after prolonged use. The Hand piece supplied I feel is to bulky.
