An individual stone, either natural corundum, lab grown corundum, or cubic zirconia. Push them into the wet clay, and fire with the stone in place. Beautiful stones - they are top quality cut.
All of our kiln safe stones are test fired to 800°C

Lab created round garnet
The colour was disappointing. They are a very orangey red and not the deep purple-red that I associate with garnets. However, they fired well at 700 degrees.

Worked a treat torch fired!
I had great success torch firing this stone in copper clay. I was worried it wouldn't work, but it worked perfectly. I was sure to heat the piece gently and let it cool naturally (not quench).

Lovely red
Great size and colour, perfect to lend a little sophistication to metal clay pendants. Fires well.
