Between them Petra and Jade have close to 40 (!!) years experience of working with and teaching metal clay, and they share a lot of their knowledge in this kit. When you're starting out with silver clay we recommend taking a class if possible, as it is hard to beat the hands-on help you get from a tutor. But, if you aren't able to get to a class there are lots of online resources, videos, instructions, step-by-step projects - including online classes. With the comprehensive information in the booklet we have included, you'll be surprised at what you can achieve at home by yourself!
PROMETHEUS PRO-1 PRG KILN
The kiln is ideal for silver clay, small glass fusing projects, and enamel - you'll have a lot of fun exploring new techniques with this!
Introducing stress-free firing with the Prometheus PRO1-PRG kiln from Metal Clay Ltd. This kiln now comes pre-programmed, with 11 of our favourite, well tested programmes.
This kiln is a brilliant little kiln suitable for both personal and professional use. Whilst pre-programmed already, so you can start with no stress or worry at all, you can also add your own programs. You can even remove the pre-programs and set all your own - there are NO restrictions, the kiln is yours to program and use as you wish, you are not locked into using the ones we have set. But, they are well tested and will get you off to a good start.
It is perfect for Art Clay, PMC, and other silver clays, as well as enamelling. It can also be used for little beads of low fire ceramics, china painting, annealing and hardening silver and gold, and small glass fusing, like making dichroic glass cabochons and other small items.
It's a 1000°C front-loading kiln, with a built-in, easy-to-use, 3-key digital programmable controller.
