Art Clay Silver clay is easy, fun, and non-toxic. It lets you make jewellery at home, even as a complete beginner. You could be making and wearing your creations in a matter of hours!
When you're starting out with metalclay we recommend taking a class if possible as it is hard to beat the hands-on help you get from a tutor. But, if you aren't able to get to a class there are lots of online resources, videos, instructions, step-by-step projects - including online classes.

Metal Clay Kit
I'd been looking at the starter kit for a while, my husband persuaded me to upgrade to the deluxe kit for my birthday present. It took a while for me to pluck up the courage to give it a go but I did and had lots of fun. The kit has everything you need except the cooling grill and gas for the torch (recommend screwfix for gas bottle) - I just need more practice making stuff, am considering getting some copper clay next as cheaper to practice on. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to have a go at making silver jewellery/charms.

Deluxe starter kit
This was brilliant, everything you need to begin a journey into silver clay. The instructions were simple and easy to follow, the only thing missing which I would have liked was some simple tools to manipulate the clay with. Would definitely recommend this to anyone thinking of having a go. I had looked at other kits on other sites but this gave the best value for money I believe.

I am very new to jewellery making and wanted to try something new, and I absolutely love it! I did lose a first attempt in silver just purely because I had my torch on to hot and it melted but I decided to give it another go and the results are amazing, I will definitely be ordering more clay! We're sorry to hear you feel the instructions aren't detailed. We think they are really detailed, with steps on making, drying, firing, polishing, and also including information on how to store the clay, rehydrate dry clay, making paste. We also wanted to clarify that there are 4 projects with step-by-step photos included, showing how to make; 1) a fingerprint pendant 2) a silver spoon 3) a simple outline cross or heart pendant 4) a pendant from a moulded shell
