I purchased a wire mesh for firing on the gas hob. It actually worked better than I had expected and I was pleased with the results achieved.

Gas hob firing mesh

Haven't used this yet but it looks o.k. and seems a bit bigger than the last one I had. It was well packed and arrived quickly. Hope I get it right as I can't read Japanese!!!

I have been very pleased with the quality of the mesh and the little cage to cover pieces when firing. I used this to fire silver art clay on my gas hob and it worked a treat. The only negative comment is that the instructions are in Chinese (not one of my skills) but the pictures were quite clear. ~~~~~RESPONSE FROM METAL CLAY~~~ Hi Jude, I'm sorry about that! If needed, you can find the English instructions on our site, on the Learn More page. All the best, Petra

Brilliant !!!!!!!

Really brilliant for little pieces and very easy to use. I liked the cage bit for over the top as this was my first attempt at firing on a hob and I was worried about it exploding.
